Its main activity is focused on the design of production lines and applied technologies for industries Agri-food, cosmetics, and chemical industries.
Development and evolution
Throughout its history, Ypsicon has evolved from a university technology initiative to a leading innovative company in the field of advanced processing. In its early years, it focused on developing its core technology, UHPH (Ultra High Pressure Homogenization), and on the industrial validation of its applications. During the 2010s, the company participated in European R&D projects and established collaborations with technology centers such as SPTA, AZTI, INCAVI, VITEC, and AINIA, among others, which allowed it to accelerate the development of industrial solutions. Furthermore, it raised capital and completed funding rounds to fuel its growth. Key milestones include its integration into the EIT Food RisingFoodStars network, which strengthened its position within the European food innovation ecosystem, and its recent scale-up to large-scale industrial production (TRL 9) with its first units manufactured in collaboration with machinery suppliers.
